Dr. Erin Petersen co-founded Conrad Petersen Dermatology in February 2020. Dr. Petersen is a board-certified dermatologist who practices general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She specializes in dermatoscopic detection of skin cancer, surgical and non-surgical skin cancer removal, hair loss, acne, rosacea and cosmetic botox and lasers. She has expertise in complex medical dermatology and advanced systemic therapies. Patients appreciate and seek out Dr. Petersen for her thoroughness, her patient-focused and individualized care plans, and her kind, compassionate nature. She is highly valued by her physician colleagues for her engagement in and dedication to team-based patient care.
Dr. Petersen grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Santa Clara University for her undergraduate studies where she graduated with distinction. She continued on at University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree and was inducted into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She spent her internship at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and completed Dermatology Residency at Saint Louis University. Dr. Petersen is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and member of the Dermatology Foundation.
Lauren is a board-certified Physician Assistant and is licensed by the state of Illinois to practice and prescribe medicine. She began her career in hematology/oncology, but having experience in dermatology prior to PA school, she knew her passion was evaluating and treating skin
conditions. She joined the Conrad Petersen Dermatology team with interests in skin cancer detection, rosacea, acne, infectious etiologies, and cosmetic dermatology. Lauren has a focus in procedural and medical dermatology and performs comprehensive dermatologic exams of all age ranges. Beyond delivering high quality patient care and education, she values the patient-provider relationship in customizing a treatment plan for her patients.
She was raised in Wisconsin and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There she competed on the Women’s Rowing team as a four-time letter winner and Academic All-Big Ten recipient. She completed her Masters of Science in Physician
Assistant Studies from Rush University and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA), and Diversity in Dermatology.
